Side Quests

Not everything I care about fits into a research project. Side Quests is where I write about the rest: life in Brazil, travel, practical experiments, and the ideas that help me make sense of the road I am on.

Living in Rio de Janeiro has given me a different perspective on home, work, language, and independence. Travelling by bike through Rwanda and Uganda with my father taught me something different again: progress is often slow, plans change, and the best parts are usually the ones you could not schedule.
